When I left SoCal for my annual year-end trip to the Boston area, it was typical winter—cold but mostly dry. When I arrived in Boston there was already snow on the ground, and it started snowing while I was getting organized to leave the airport. By the time I got into the Salem area it was snowing good and it continued into the night.
