Island Freeman

The fall TV season is upon us: I guess it's time to get my Myth TV computer up and running again. Since the spring, the program schedule provider has gone off-line and I haven't set-up with the new one yet. I do all of my crime-drama TV viewing in the weekends so I need to record during the week.

Island White

You wonder what the pictures have to do with that? Well, the three islands are Freeman, White and Chaffee — Grissom is to the north-east out of camera range. They really aren't islands, they are oil platforms disguised in an allegedly visually pleasing format. They sit off Belmont Shore in Long Beach, CA. They were named after the first astronauts who died in the line of duty early in the U.S. space program.

That's not the story either — like the way I'm building up to it? If you study the pictures closely you may recognize the islands. For the last few seasons, CSI:Miami, like CSI, has been filmed in Los Angeles. Many episodes show one or more of the islands, and Belmont Shore and the Long Beach Downtown Marina are used extensively in :Miami.
