Santa Anas or not? The wind today is straight from the east. Some are saying it's not an "official" Santa Ana unless it is fron the north-east.
Whatever it is, it blew this tree down onto Valley View St, just south of Ball Rd, in Cypress. The police were foolishly allowing taffic north from Cerritos Ave, then turning it back at the fall-down.
What ever this wind is, all I know is that my sinuses and lungs don't like it. The picture's brown tint might give some idea how much dust is in the air.
